Fred & Melba Wegert, of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, were married September 14, 1973. They have three children: Ranata Hatcher of Bokoshe, Karen Sloan of Stigler, and Casey Snodgress of Timnath, Colorado. They also have four grandchildren. Fred & Melba were members of Center Point Baptist Church, south of Keota, where he was licensed to preach May 4, 1980, and ordained to the ministry the following year, May 3, 1981. After ten years behind the pulpit at Center Point, they moved to LeQuire Baptist Church for approximately five years, and then to the First Southern Baptist Church of Tamaha for 20-plus years. They are now enjoying semi-retirement, visiting other churches and serving as pulpit-supply wherever needed.
